The NC Association of Black Storytellers drove just one car in this annual parade today. Ella Joyce "E.J." Stewart, Willa Brigham and I were driven by my daughter Teri Burnette. As we rode along, we jumped in and out of the car and gave out my "KC Takes A Stand" (drug prevention) coloring book to kids along the parade route. We probably gave away 300 books. Hats OFF to the NCABS "Storyteller ladies" who "jogged" beside (and hopped in and out of) my car
